Is Custom Expensive?
Not necessarily. Custom kitchens and bathrooms could get expensive if you are using some exotic wood species with an unusual design for the cabinets, or some custom hand made tiles for your backsplash. In most cases a custom designed space with custom made cabinets using available wood species such as oak, maple, birch, or cherry are very comparable in cost to their semi-custom counterparts minus the visible seams, the wasted storage space behind the fillers, and the restrictions on available sizes, styles, and colors. Before you assume that custom is going to be costly, get an estimate and find out for yourself if your budget is sufficient for custom.
