How Do I Communicate?
Communication between the homeowner and the designer/contractor at all times is essential for a successful project. If you have questions or concerns about any aspect of the project, at any stage, make sure you relay them to the people in charge of your project immediately. Discuss time frame, expectations, design ideas, likes and dislikes. If you cannot clearly describe your style, just find pictures of what you like, and your designer should be able to figure it out.
If you have a general contractor on the job, make sure to discuss any changes with him or her only. Discussing changes with the subs could result in unwanted outcomes that can be costly in terms of time and money.
